Dear Jamie,
i used to be rubbish at vert until i switched my eating habbits to an diet consisting only of ranch dressing, it helps me to air higher and spin faster. when i watch you ride i can only imagine how much ranch you eat! so my question is.. do you love ranch? -

I heard a rumor you were going to start riding park contests. Is this true? What do I have to do to join the JBFC?

Jamie:
Your section in Etnies, Grounded always inspires me to ride, no matter what. As I think Povah said in the commentary, it's hard to showcase vert riding in a video because you always see everything at a contest. But your section felt like it was a trails session, but on a vert ramp. My question is, how did you make the vert riding feel so unique to the viewers (aside from the obviousa: we rode in the dry lake bed)? Also, how should other riders create a vert video section that isn't boring?

While it's a great goal to have, it seems that more amateur riders are focusing on sponsorships and competition and are all but forgetting the fun of simply riding. As an older rider (I'm 35) who rediscovered BMX after almost 20 years of Mountain-biking, I have no illusions: I'll never achieve your level of expertise. But I ride every chance I get because I love it. What's your opinion on the matter? Do you feel many amateur riders are missing the point and are focusing too much on sponsorships? And if you don't mind a second question, what's your opinion on us old-school riders? Thanks for reading, and let me say it's always a treat to watch you ride. So much style and skill. Ride on.

Jamie,
I've heard many people say that they wish they could "borrow" tricks from you. For example, I wouldn't mind borrowing your massive carving 30 foot alley-oops. Is there any tricks you'd like to borrow from anyone? -

Jamie you rule!
I remember reading once that you weren't able to ride full time until you were 30. What was it like working a normal job while hitting all the contests etc over the years? How much do you think that being able to ride "full-time" has affected your riding? Did you ever get annoyed at work and use that anger to fuel your ability to boost? -

Jamie, you are an absolute treat to watch!
Do you ever miss the days of the Mirra - Bestwick vert showdown? I remember when I first started riding in 2002 it was a back and forth thing between you two! Can we ever see you hitting up two events and trying out park at the Dew Tour next year?
Keep flowing! -

Hey Jamie your one of the best vert riders out there.
I recently built a 6 foot backyard quarterpipe and all i can do is 180 on it.
Do you know any good beginner aerial tricks I should learn first?
Thanks

Hey Mr Bestwick,
I've admired you for years and that includes your insane skills on a bmx bike and the kind of person you seem to be. With all your success and being one of the best bmx riders of all times, how do you manage to still keep that good head on your shoulders and stay humble? Good luck in the future and keep those insane skills coming.

when you are up in the air for so long you clearly have time to kill, so naturally being a brit you put the kettle on and make a brew......my question is: do you drink twinnings, tetleys or are you a pg tips man?

Rumor has it that Mike Spinner and Daniel Dhers are going to be replacing Obama and McCain in the up-coming election. If this is true, who would you vote for, or would you just move to back to England? Also, do you think we should withdraw from the war on tailwhips?

Jamie,
I know you're a big proponent of 9 foot "starter" vert ramps. Do you think the resurgence of concrete bowls will serve a similar purpose, given rise to a new school Fiola, Dominguez or Bestwick?

jamie, how do you feel about being held responsable for cutting 6in off of the resi spine at woodward? why did you do it? and yes, im putting it out there. keep hitting the rafters.
